Huntington Beach

On this amazing surf spot with very white beaches, we will show what beach volleyball is all about!

California is where the first official beach volleyball tournaments happened at the dawn of the 20th Century. It is therefore logical that Huntington Beach, the focus of beach volleyball in Orange County, should host the grand final of the King of the Court.

Known as Surf City or HB by locals, Huntington Beach is synonymous with surfing and beach volleyball, with waves and nets dotted along 10 miles of white sands. There are over two-dozen permanent courts where you bump, set and spike all day, every day on a first-come, first-serve basis. But be warned, you may find yourself playing one of the many pros who call Huntington Beach home.

If you can tear yourself away from the sand and surf for long enough try biking or longboarding the paved boardwalk that skirts the expanse of beach either side of iconic Huntington Beach Pier. Alternatively, you could find your line in the Vans Off The Wall Skatepark, explore the roots and culture of surfing at the International Surfing Museum or get away from it all in the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve.

There really is no better place than Huntington Beach to wrap up the King of the Court series.
